Back Home!!

D. and I arrived back in France on the 15th of March. We had an uneventful trip back here. Of course, D. has been sick since two days after we got back. It would not be a real trip if one of us did not get sick afterward (at least, that has been our experience these last six months). The first thing I noticed when I entered my apartment is that it is almost colorless. I think I have rested in the neutrals a bit too much. We stayed with friends and family in the U.S. who have good taste and know a lot about using color in their decoration. I've come to the conclusion that I shy away from what I don't really understand. Now I have a goal to save up for some area rugs to help that out, maybe some throw pillows,etc. I'll take pics of before and afters as we change things around here. So...France hasn't changed a bit. We noticed that a new McDonald's went up while we were gone, and we have two new round-abouts here in town, but everything else looks to have stayed as before. All of our friends, and even our neighbors seem happy to see us once again. When people ask if we are glad to be back we tell them "YES!!!". Our family and dear friends are in the U.S., but our hearts (and comfy bed) are here. Only in a perfect world could we bring all of our loved ones here with us. Thankfully, we have heaven to look forward to, and while on earth we have e-mail, phones, letters, skype, etc. That's it for now. Until the next time - Liss
