August is a month filled with celebration for our family. Dave and I have many birthday and anniversary cards to send this month for both of our families. We even celebrated 10 years of marriage this month ourselves. There is one anniversary though, for which I am particularly thankful. I praise the Lord that 35 years ago (on the 16th) my parents said their vows to each other, and before God, uniting them in Holy Matrimony. They have been true examples of how a two people can become one and work and live together as a team. They have shown faithful, unfailing love towards each other and toward us children through the years. I am so grateful that they raised their children to love Jesus Christ and put Him first in our lives. There have been times when we have struggled to keep on the "straight and narrow", but they have always been faithful to give godly counsel and advice. Thank you so much, Dad and Mom for being true lights for the Lord in our lives and the lives of others around you.
